Crisis in the Congo: Uncovering the Truth

July 7th, 2011 § 2 comments

“Congo’s like a nightmare in heaven…

..People are dying
Everybody wants a piece of Congo…
…The death toll is now surmounting that of the Holocaust
From 1996 to present : 6 million dead…
…Hundreds and thousands of women systematically raped as a system of war
As the women are broken so are the community…
Why is it that no one is talking about it?
…But for God sake stop killing the people; Stop letting Rwanda, Uganda and Joseph Kabila kill with impunity
You ought to be moved to want to bring an end to it…”

These are some solemn sound bites from the short documentary released on June 30, 2011.

Be an advocate–Yes. Drum up awareness–Yes. Educate ourselves and others–Yes. Campaign and sign petitions–Yes. And don’t forget to pray for Congo…
